CHRIST HAS RISEN!!!! HE HAS RISEN INDEED!!!

As we enter this time of celebration with the resurrection of our Lord we also enter a busy time for the continued resurrection of our Church family and mission of the Presbyterian Church of Milford.  With the new elders so excited and full of new ideas and energy, we will no doubt continue to grow.

On April 6th at 10:00 AM we will be hosting a Blessing of the Animals right here at our church.  All animals are welcomed and my friend the Rev. Dr. Patricia Epprecht and I will be most delighted to bless your animal because we both know that our animals are an extension of our families and can sometimes be overlooked.  There will also be clean up days in town, hands on work with Habitat for Humanity, and some of the youth have already said yes to help the Appalachia Service Project this upcoming summer in Jonesville, VA.

On Mother's Day and Father's Day the membership/congregational life  committee is looking at holding a breakfast on those mornings as well as a pot luck supper in October for the whole community to share in, not just our church family.

The deacons have endless activities planned throughout the year like kickball games, baseball games, corn mazes, chili cook-offs, as well as blood drives for the Miller Keystone Blood Mobile.   There are members of our church that are active in the planning of the 2nd annual Milford Alive celebration on September 21st where we hope that our church will be able to enter a new bed for the annual bed race.  The youth group was the last group to enter a bed and they won with their Noah's Ark bed.

Our church is alive, well, and full of energy.  My hope is that each and every one of you will want to participate in the life of the church so we can continue to make a difference in our community and continue to grow our church family.  We need each other and the community needs us.
